About Us

Shawn Chapman began his career in funeral service in 1982. After dedicating 18 years to mastering the professions of embalming and funeral directing, he established Shawn Chapman Funeral Home in February 2000 with a commitment to serving families with dignity and compassion.

A 1983 graduate of Murray County High School, Shawn furthered his education at Reinhardt College, where he studied Business Administration, and later completed his Funeral Service Education at Jefferson State College.

With great sorrow, Shawn passed away in 2024. Today, Shawn’s vision continues with the diligent work from his son, Wil Chapman, beloved wife, Chelsea Chapman, and other dedicated employees.
